HOW TO LEAVE A GIFT IN YOUR WILL

Have you already planned to leave a bequest?
If you’ve decided to leave us a gift in your Will, we’d love you to let us know so we can show our appreciation and keep you updated on what we are doing to help support Indians living with heart disease and other diseases.

How to leave a gift
There are many ways you can leave a gift. Your solicitor or other qualified professional can help you make the choice that’s right for you. Once you have decided on the type of gift you wish to leave, your solicitor or other professional will need these details for the wording of your Will:

WHOLE STATE
Many people who don’t have children are choosing this generous option.

Suggested wording :

I give the whole of my estate to the C3 Research Foundation of India for which an authorized receipt from the C3 Research Foundation of India will be an absolute discharge to my executor.

RESIDUARY BEQUEST
A gift of what’s left of your estate (or a percentage of it) after you’ve made gifts to family and friends.

It’s not a specific amount of money, so it keeps its value regardless of inflation. Your impact increases as your estate matures.

Suggested wording :

I give __________ per cent of the residue of my estate to the C3 Research Foundation of Chennai for which an authorized receipt from the C3 Research Foundation of Chennai will be an absolute discharge to my executor.

PECUNIARY BEQUEST
A gift of a set amount. Keep in mind that this gift may lose its value over time due to inflation.

Suggested wording :

I give Rs._________ to the C3 Research Foundation of Chennai for which an authorized receipt from the C3 Research Foundation of Chennai will be an absolute discharge to my executor.
